The roots of innovation lie in taking seriously and developing something which nobody else has paid attention to, and which the rest of the universe might be inclined to ignor.

There has got to be a way to reach our children. Clearly, what works for the nation as a whole does not work for inner-city Cleveland. Why do the big-wigs continue to ignore that Cleveland has different needs, and yet can still be successful. We teachers always talk about how different people learn in different ways. Why, then, do we think a one-size-fits-all method will work for every single district, in every single city, in every single state?
